Welcome to
District 7 Orchestra
Our program serves the students in Spartanburg District 7 Schools beginning in the fifth grade at the elementary school level. Students progress through a designed curriculum that ends in the twelfth grade at Spartanburg High School, collecting many challenging and amazing experiences along the way. Large and small group performances, solo performances, field trips (both near and far!), as well as diligent daily guidance are what lead to a well rounded student musician and lifelong appreciator of music.
Development and Opportunity
Students who participate in the District 7 orchestra program learn a well developed curriculum as they progress from elementary school to high school. Along the way are opportunities to perform within the district and throughout the community. Visit our Gallery to have a look!
Region and All State Events
Students are eligible to audition for Region orchestra beginning in the sixth grade. This honor orchestra is made up of students from the upstate region who are accepted through an audition process. Materials for this audition are generally available in early June and auditions take place in October.
